Classes that do not include forging. The knives are shaped using grinders.
1-8 person class
$250 for the first person and $250 per person after that.
You will learn to make a stock removal blade start to finish.
The knife you make will be yours to keep. Knife sheath NOT included but is available to purchase upon request. This is an all day class
1-4 person class
$300 for the first person and $300 per person after that.
You will make a full tapered tang knife with a shar distal taper and a full flat grind. Knives you make will be yours to keep. Knife sheath NOT included but is available to purchase upon request. This is an all day class.
1-2 person class
This class will take a hardened blade blank and take it to a finished knife. This class will focus on through-tang , partial tang and knives with bolsters.
1 on 1
Polishing techniques and fit/ finish approaches that are used to make show-quality blades are emphasized in this class. The student will choose the knife style and level of finish. This is a two-day long class. The student will keep the knife from the class.
It's time to LIGHT THE FIRE!
1-8 person class
$150 per person. The students will make two small items like keychains or simple trinkets and hooks. This is a 4-6 hour long class and will use a propane forge and hand hammers. There is no power machinery in this class.
1-8 person class
$150 per person. This class will teach students how to make a cooking/ garden Tripod and one large S-hook. This is a 2-4 hour class.
1-8 person class
$100 per person. This class will teach students how to forge a set of 6 tent spikes suitable for camping in tough terrain. The students will take home a set of 6 twisted spikes. This is a 2-4 hour class.
1-8 person class
$100 per person. This class will teach the students how to make a basic Railroad spike knife that they will take home at the end of class. This is a 2-4 hour class.
1-8 person class
$150 per person. This class will teach the student how to make a classic Roasting Fork that they will take home at the end of class. The length of the fork is limited to no more that 24" long when finished. This is a 2-6 hour class.
1-8 person class
$100 per person. This class will teach the students how to make a Steak Flipper that they have hand-forged and will take home at the end of class. Length of pigtail is limited to no more that 24" long when finished. This is a 2-4 hour class.
1-4 person class
$100 per person. You will learn hammer technique and how to move metal. You will also learn how to build and maintain a coal forge. This class is 4-6 hours long.
Introductory and Intermediate classes on how to forge and pattern Damascus.
1-2 day class.
$375 per person. A starter class to help the students learn the basics of Damascus. The student will leave with a knife blank or a billet forged by hand by the end of class. The student may make up to two billets to take home. This is a 6-8 hour long class.
1-4 person class
$400 per person. Starting with 1095/15N20 steel, the students will wet weld two billets of 100-400 layer Random Pattern Damascus. One of the billets will go home with the student. Forge welding, Forge atmosphere, Folding the billet, and cut/stack techniques will be the focus of the class. This is a 6-8 hour class.
1-4 person class
$400 per person. The student has their choice of pattern. Lava Pattern, Dragonskin, Faux Cable, and Fossil Damascus are the main options with other patterns available upon request. The student will take home one large billet forged to the dimensions the student desires. This is a 6-8 hour class.
1-4 person class
$400 per person. Using a pair or trio of high-contrast steels, the student will create a pattern welded billet with the pattern of their choice. Diamond, Wolf tooth, Raindrop, and Ladder Pattern are some of the choices available. Once the sizes and patterns are where the students want them, they will take the entire billet they forged home. This is a 6-8 hour class.
1-2 person class
$550 per person. This class emphasizes W-pattern Damascus. This is the foundation of many mosaic patterns and the student will use the technique to create an explosion or stacked W pattern Damascus. Once patterned the student will create 1-2 knife-sized billets to take home. This is a 6-8 hour class.
Learn how to forge weld and work with pure Meteorite.
1-2 person class
$750 per person. A complete introduction on how to forge weld pieces of meteorite together to create a small thumb-sized billet the student will take home. This is a very advanced class and is mostly done by hand forging. Minimal machine forging will be part of the class. This is a 6-8 hour class.
1-2 person class
$750 per person. The students will create a 2”x2”x3” canister billet with meteorite high carbon and powdered steels that they will take home with them. This will produce a medium-sized billet approx 1/4”x1.5” x1’. The class will revolve around using a forging press and a power hammer. This is a 6-8 hour class.
1-2 person class
$1,000 per person. This Intermediate class revolves around bonding meteorites to wrought iron and mono steel. First we will create a pure meteorite billet. Then we will create a three layer billet or knife blank that will go home with the student. We recommend that student have some experience with regular pattern welding before taking this class. This is a two-day class.
